• 2014 RP3 Diamond Rating from the American Public Power Association (APPA), and achievement which puts the Holland BPW in the top 1% of municipal utilities in the nation for innovation, reliability, safety and continuous improvement. The HBPW earned 100 out of 100 possible points to achieve this rating.
• 2014 Safety Award of Excellence from the APPA, earned through safe operating practices in 2013.
• 2014 Five Bloom Rating from the America in Bloom national awards program. Also, HBPW earned the Outstanding Achievement in Heritage Preservation Award.
• 2014 Neighborhood Environmental Partners from the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality, earned through our residential appliance and electronic waste recycling program.
• 2014 Macatawa Watershed Stakeholder Award, achieved for our continuous involvement in the Macatawa Watershed Project to clean up sediment and phosphorus loading.
• 2014 Award of Excellence from the APPA for the HBPW 2013 Digital Annual Report.
• 2013 Leadership in Housing Award from ENERGY STAR, earned for our Parade of Homes efficient building program.
• 2013 Exemplary Water Protection Program Award from the American Water Works Association, earned for excellence in implementing an effective source water protection program.
• 2013 Michigan Section Class III Safety Award from the American Water Works Association, based on the utility’s safety record and safety programs.
• 2013 Class C Award of Excellence from the APPA for the HBPW’s 2013 digital annual report.
