Launching 2 Gig Fiber Service at $45/month
The expansion of Holland BPW’s community-owned fiber optic network represents a transformative step for the City of Holland. In August 2022, residents voted to make an investment in high-speed internet access. This decision brings a new internet service option for residents and businesses. Construction of the network is underway and new customers are coming online every week as service becomes available.
Holland BPW is proud to offer an affordable option for high-speed fiber internet to the City of Holland. Holland BPW Fiber offers up to 2 Gbps for $45/month. This is not an introductory price and there is no contract. This low monthly cost includes installation, the modem, the WiFi router, an app for you to control your home network, and local customer service support.
For those looking for even faster internet performance, Holland BPW Fiber offers a service of up to 10 Gbps for $125/month. The same services and prices are available to businesses as well as residents.

Optional Add-ons
For customers with additional needs, we offer add-ons. Our optional Mesh Extender extends the reach of your home WiFi network for $5/month. You can also subscribe to a dedicated IP address for $3/month.
For most customers, the level of support that our local customer service and fiber teams provide is exceptional. However, for those needing 24/7 tech support we have an Enhanced Service package for an additional $150/month. This Enhanced Service provides local businesses and some residential customers with service beyond the typical excellent support.
Building Out Fiber Services
Construction of the city’s municipally owned network began in February 2024. For construction, the project segments the city into 16 separate “Fiberhoods,” carefully planned to efficiently expand the network throughout the city.
Creating the Passings Network
Crews are currently constructing the passings network throughout the City of Holland. Similar to how water mains connect homes and businesses to water, the passings network is a network of fiber lines that go past every home, making fiber connectivity available to everyone in the City of Holland.
Some of the fiber lines will run underground and some will hang overhead along existing utility poles. For the underground lines, crews dig to locate other utility lines and then use a boring rig to dig a tunnel. They pull conduit through the tunnel and then pull the fiber optic cable through the protective orange conduit.

When Will I Get Fiber?
As the passings network is built, neighborhood by neighborhood – Fiberhood by Fiberhood – service will roll out as it becomes available. The first Fiberhoods came online in Summer 2024 and are available for service connections.
Customers can sign up for service on the Holland BPW website when applications open for their Fiberhood.
