Diamond Reliable
Public Power – RP3

Holland Board of Public Works has earned a Reliable Public Power Provider (RP3)® designation from the American Public Power Association for providing reliable and safe electric service.

The RP3 designation, which lasts for three years, recognizes public power utilities that demonstrate proficiency in four key disciplines: reliability, safety, workforce development, and system improvement. Criteria include sound business practices and a utility-wide commitment to safe and reliable delivery of electricity. Holland Board of Public Works joins more than 270 public power utilities nationwide that hold the RP3 designation. Holland Board of Public Works received a perfect score on the RP3 application and received a Diamond rating, which is the highest of three levels. Currently, 107 APPA members have Diamond designations.

2019 Innovation
in Sustainable Engineering Award

The American Society of Civil Engineers selected Holland Energy Park to receive the 2019 Innovation in Sustainable Engineering Award for “its park-like, non-industrial setting with excellent public involvement featuring a ‘Blue Ribbon Leadership Panel’ with all primary stakeholder groups represented, an active website to solicit their input and the creation of an enduring public attraction with a unique interactive learning visitor center.”

We are sincerely honored to be selected by ASCE’s Committee on Sustainability to receive this award.
