Holland Board of Public Works is a strong advocate for educating students on where their utilities come from and how they are provided. We believe that providing context on what is happening in their community will help them to become community advocates and engaged citizens.
Holland Board of Public Works is a strong advocate for educating students on where their utilities come from and how they are provided. We believe that providing context on what is happening in their community will help them to become community advocates and engaged citizens.
Each year, HBPW creates an annual report to demonstrate value around services and improvement projects we are working on. Among the utility stories, this year’s report includes spot-light features on careers and the people that help to keep our utilities reliable. Our hope is that these articles will help to serve as a resource in your classroom.
We have provided some ways in which our stories can supplement state standards, but we invite you to explore the stories and see in what other ways these topics might serve as a resource in your classroom.
In addition, HBPW staff is here to serve as a resource for local educators. If you have any questions about our processes or any other needs for your classroom, we are here to help.
